Faith is often most powerful when we can’t see the path ahead. Taking that first step, even when we don’t know exactly where it will lead, requires immense trust in God’s plan. Martin Luther King Jr. reminds us that faith doesn’t wait for certainty—it moves forward despite uncertainty. It’s a reminder that we don’t need to see the whole picture to know that God is already at work. Just as a staircase doesn’t reveal itself all at once, our journeys in faith unfold step by step, with God guiding each movement.
Faith empowers us to move forward, to take action, and to trust that each step will bring us closer to God’s purpose. It’s the courage to begin even when the end is unclear. This kind of trust is foundational to our Christian walk, showing that faith is about perseverance, not perfection.
“For we live by faith, not by sight.” – 2 Corinthians 5:7
