“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” – 2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV)
Boldness doesn’t mean being without fear—it means acknowledging fear but choosing not to let it hold us back. Acting boldly requires trust, not in our own strength, but in God’s provision. When fear rises, boldness reminds us to look upward, to the One who grants us the power to move forward. The Bible tells us that God hasn’t given us a spirit of fear. Instead, He has equipped us with love, courage, and sound judgment. It’s through these gifts that we can face difficult situations head-on, no matter how uncertain or daunting they may seem.
God invites us to walk in boldness, knowing that every step we take in faith draws us closer to Him. We don’t have to pretend to be fearless to be bold; we simply need to rely on God to lead us. With His strength and love, we can move forward, one courageous step at a time.
What area of your life needs a bold step, trusting God to overcome the fear?
